This may disturb communal harmony & give rise to hatred & violence in future.

The complaint was regarding Property show Smart Home Options. The complainant alleged that the anchor was totally ill informed and had made his company look bad.

The complaint was regarding the telecasting of a video clipping on the channel which showed bloodshed & brutality and glorified the gang leader.

56 complaints were received from devotees regarding Radhe Maa programmes and it was stated that the programmes aired by the channel were unacceptable as it hurted their religious sentiments.

The complaint was regarding the programme titled "Rise of the Son" praising Jagan Reddy. The complainant alleged that the channel was telecasting paid news in the favour of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy accused ofa Rs One Lakh Crore scam.

S.NO 658. Channel News24 Think First Complainant Mr. Ram Kumar Verma Date of Broadcast 7.8.2011 Complaint

The complaint was regarding the programme “Shatak” on News24 wherein they had stated that to rescue a trader, commandos, would be sent, which would be telecast directly by the channel. He had also cited the news of killing of individuals by Taliban by the said channel. Was it not necessary to mask the individuals being killed by Taliban? His contention was that to garner TRP the channel was compromising on the security of our country and that of the armed forces.

NBSA was of the view that prima facie the contents of the captioned broadcast violate the tenets inter alia of “endangering national security, impartiality and objectivity in reporting” of the NBA Code of Ethics & Broadcasting Standards and “law & order, crime & violence & national security” of Specific Guidelines dated 10.2.2009 issued by the NBA.NBSA decided that the broadcaster be issued a “warning” and be further informed that any future transgressions would be dealt with more severely.

The complaint was regarding a programme titled “What Botsa Say’s in EMAAR case”. The complainant alleged that there was distortion of a statement of Hon’ble Minister before CBI deliberately to cause harm to the reputation of their leader late Sri Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

The complainant stated that the channel aired a news story under the misleading caption “Strategy of Congress” about the arrest of Shri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, President of YSR Congress part without any truth, speculated by seeking to defame their leader without any verification compromising the standards of journalism and taking politically partisan approach.
